Jane Salmen Recognized as Top 25 Women to Watch

The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal on Thursday announced the 51 winners of its annual Women in Business Awards.

Among this year's honorees: Dawn Owens, CEO of OptumHealth Inc.; Bobbi Daniels, CEO of University of Minnesota Physicians; and Catherine Kelly, CEO of Minnesota Bank & Trust.

Each year, the Business Journal honors 25 Women to Watch -- leaders to keep an eye on for continued success - as well as 25 Industry Leaders who are at the forefront of their industries.


Jane Salmen


Jane Salmen is president and CEO of BluePrint, a career-transition consulting firm that helps companies manage staff cuts and other personnel issues. She’s particularly passionate about helping laid-off employees find new jobs. Salmen started the company in 2002, after spending 17 years as a sales manager for ProStaff. Prior to that, she worked in sales at Control Data Corp.

Salmen previously served as the president of the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce and has been on the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce’s executive committee. She is a member of the board of Lincolnshire International, a career-transition organization with more than 200 locations worldwide. She also has volunteered with organizations such as the Dorothy Day Center and the Jeremiah Project.
